MDC's neoliberal policies unworkable

DEAR - I read on your website that MDC-T run Redcliff Municipality has collapsed. This does not surprise me. If these MDC-T councillors cannot even run a local council without mismanagement and corruption, how on earth can they govern a country like Zimbabwe properly?

They cannot, and have no intention to.

They still believe in the magic of the markets. Neoliberalism is the only economic theory that rewards its proponents for doing a bad job. To them, government is supposed to fail. Only corporate business is 'efficient'.

Look at the mess they are making at the ministry of education. Charging fees is the surest way of throwing large numbers of children on the street because their parents cannot afford to pay.

The Zanu PF party achieved Africa's lowest illliteracy rates, by making education accessible to everyone, free of charge.

That is what works. We need universal provision of basic services (education, healthcare, utilities, security) by We, The People, not corporations.
